TENT OF DAVID

“After His (Jesus) suffering, He showed Himself to those men (the Apostles) and gave many convincing proofs that He was alive.  He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the Kingdom of God.”  Acts 1: 3

What an incredible season we are in!  There was such a sense at this Passover that we opened a door into something fresh.  Never before have we been so aware of so many participating in Passover and coming into an understanding of Jesus the Passover Lamb, than this year.  Thousands of Christians all over the world were tuning in to Passover celebrations and aligning with a fresh understanding of the power of the blood of the Lamb.  Our Passover Seder dinner at the Tent was filled with such fire!  Every part of the meal was accentuated with praise and a sense of breakthrough into the new.  We ended our evening with a look ahead to the next appointed time on God’s calendar, Pentecost.  You can always tell when God puts His mark on something by the ignition that you get in worship, and when we began to sing Godfrey Birtill’s song, “The suddenly of God, a sound from heaven…”  there was such a power of release that came forth. 

Then, this weekend, as we began to think about what happened during the weeks between Passover and Pentecost, a revelation of what God intends for this season began to come forth.  It was in this season that the resurrected Christ began to prepare his disciples for the coming of the Kingdom of God in power!  The Bible says that He appeared to them over forty days and spoke to them about the Kingdom of God.  The Bible doesn’t elaborate on what He told them, but whatever it was, it prepared them for the most awesome days the Church has ever experienced.  It ushered in something so very new that it filled a city with wonder and eventually turned the whole known world upside down.  Whatever He told them allowed Peter to have a Biblical grid to explain the very strange things that were taking place on the day of Pentecost. 

As we have been speaking to different people and watching what is beginning to happen around the world, there is such an increased sense of anticipation that God is about to do something incredibly huge in Canada and around the world.  But, just as in the days of the birthing of the early church, there is a strong sense that the “waiting” season we are in right now, is not a passive one, but one of seeking a fresh understanding of the Kingdom of God.  And Yeshua, the risen Christ, desperately wants to share what He knows with His children.  He is looking for those who will quiet themselves and wait on Him as the 120 did so many years ago.  It is always amazing to me that of the 500 that saw Him after He rose from the dead, that only 120 shed their “busyness” to wait for what He was telling them was coming. 

This weekend we were privileged to have Harry Roberts come to speak to us at the Tent and much of what He said was about the Kingdom of God and how Jesus is really, really intent on us preparing our hearts for what He is about to do.  Karen, not long ago, had a dream where she saw such an overwhelming rush of the presence of God come into the Tent that she thought we would all die under it because it carried such a fear of God with it.  I believe that in this waiting season, that God wants to come with fresh revelation of the Kingdom.  What does Jesus know that we don’t know?  Do we hunger enough to wait on Him for it?  Are we willing to lay bare our lives to let Him release us from the things that would hinder us when He comes in power?  I don’t know about you, but we have prayed too long, cried out for revival for too many years, to allow anything to prevent us from entering in when He shows up. 

What time is it?  It’s time for a fresh understanding that He is alive.  It’s time for a rush of revelation of the Kingdom of God for these last days.  There is so much more than what we have experienced up until now.  I can taste it.  I can feel it on the horizon.  I just want to see it.

Don’t forget that we begin our Issachar School tomorrow night, Monday, April 12, at 7:30 pm.  We will be studying “The Tabernacle of David in the Book of Revelation”.  This is fresh teaching and will increase your understanding of worship around the Throne.

About a week ago, members of the Tent of David returned from an awesome time in Israel.  We knew before we went that God was telling us that this trip was not to be a “tour”, but a prophetic journey.  So we determined that although we had prayed and put an itinerary in place, that we needed to be flexible, and to let God alter our journey as He saw fit.  We were also to keep our eyes and ears opened, to see the signs that God was putting in our pathway, because God had a prophetic message to give to us through the journey.  As I have been spending some time processing all that happened, it seems that there were two main themes that emerged as we travelled and met people along the way. 

It’s time for Miracles.

The first few days of our trip took a turn and the theme of miracles began to emerge.  On the first day, we left for Cana of Galilee.  This was a result of the prophetic word that came forth out of the Tent on New Years Eve that this was a year for water turning into wine, and that this year would be a year of the wine being poured out.  It was also the year of the bride coming to the banqueting table (literally translated “house of wine), as told in the Song of Solomon.  We also had anointed people on that night with a mixture of wine and oil as a prophetic sign that God was going to pour in the oil and wine and bring the broken to receive the healing power of God.  Since we were not on an official “tour” and guiding ourselves, we didn’t really know the traditional spots for tours to visit Cana.  So we just followed God.  By “chance”, we ended up in an ancient olive grove and got out our communion elements and declared that this was the year of Wine.  As we read the scripture, we got to the part of the 6 water pots being filled to the brim with water, and suddenly we realized that we were six people standing there!  The scene was so powerful as we stood as the six water pots crying to be filled to overflowing.  We were also in the place of the oil in the olive grove!  Wine and Oil!  Next we followed where all the tour buses seemed to be going and ended up at the scene of a double wedding being held in Cana!  The bride coming to the House of Wine!  God was emphasizing the miracle of the water being turned into wine. 

We spent the following day with an orthodox Jew in the Golan Heights.  And this time, it was the Jew who announced what our tour was going to be about.  He told us at the outset that their director said that our day was supposed to be about miracles.  From that time forward, the theme of miracles was told and retold as he began to account miracle after miracle of God saving the Jews in their history in the land of Israel.  He ended up with an astounding miracle of his own life which blew us away!  We climbed Gamla, a small mountain in the Golan Heights and stood in the ruins of an ancient synagogue, and facing Jerusalem, had our guide pray and pronounce a blessing over us.  The presence of God in that place was palpable.  We could hardly move from there.  By the end of the day, there was no doubt in our mind, that God was speaking very loudly that He is ushering a time of miracles.  The oneness that we felt with the Jewish people this trip was unbelievable.  We had so much favour everywhere we went, and so much greater than we had experienced in our previous trips to the Land.

The following day was a day of the unexpected.  Somehow I had felt compelled for us to take a detour and go to Sulam.  The ancient place where the Shunamite woman had her son raised from the dead by Elisha.  As I looked for it on the map, I noticed that it was in the same area where Jesus raised the Widow of Nain’s son from the dead.  This was a place of resurrection power!  It was also the place of the bride of Song of Solomon. So, once again, not really knowing where we were going, we struck out for Sulam.  We reached the village, and began to drive down some streets until we felt the prompting of the Lord to stop, next to an orange grove.  As we were praying and declaring in that area, a Jewish woman came out of a house next to the orchard and asked us what we were doing there.  We told her that we were praying in this beautiful area.  She began to tell us that her name in Hebrew means “love”.  We were once again blown away because of the bride of the Song of Solomon and began to read to her out of that passage.  With that, she began to fill our car with the oranges from the orange grove.  The sweetest oranges you have ever tasted!  We had so many oranges that we had to give the rest of them away at the end of our trip!  God was speaking about the abundance of fruit in the land of resurrection.  We are about to see lives resurrected in miracle working power!  And once again, the magnet between the Jew and Gentile was being reinforced.  There is unprecedented love and favour being released between those who honour Israel and the Jewish people. 

Later, during the last few days of our journey, when we were in Jerusalem, I found myself alone as the others had gone to the Western Wall early in the morning to pray.  Somehow I had felt compelled to stay behind and spend some time with the Lord.  As I was praying, I asked the Lord what book of the Bible we were now in, since I had been in the Old Testament for a very long time.  He clearly spoke to me and said “You are in the Book of Mark”.  I was reminded that the book of Mark was the miracle book, which emphasized Jesus’ acts.  I picked up the Bible and began to read the first verse.  “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God”.  As I read those words, the Spirit of God overwhelmed me to the point that I could not read anymore.  I felt that God was saying that we are about to see the beginning of a fresh wave of the gospel or good news of Jesus Christ that is going to be poured out over the earth. The good news is going to be accompanied with signs, wonders and miracles.

There is a shift in time right now:

I can’t remember having a sense of the shortness of time as we felt during this trip.  God was speaking loud and clear that we need to understand the times and seasons and the sudden shift that we are in.  One of the places we visited was Petra, Jordan, which is prophesied to be the place of end time refuge for the Jews, where Jesus comes out of Bozra (Petra) with His garments dipped in blood, mighty to save.  As we were there, we spent some time just trying to absorb what the Lord was saying about it.  When we came together, Dan shared that he felt that this place was just waiting for its time in destiny.  We all felt the same.  As we were walking out of Petra, a contingent from the US passed us with Vice President Joe Biden coming in as we were leaving!  It was as though God was demonstrating to us, the importance of the place even as we walked out.  Even his name “Biden” spoke of Petra “biding its time”!  There was a strong sense that something very important is just around the corner.

We also did not know that we were in Israel at a very strategic time.  When we were visiting our friends, Aaron and Brenda Mackenzie in Bethlehem, they mentioned that the very day we were there, the Hurva Synagogue in Old Jerusalem was being dedicated on the first day of Nisan, Judah’s month.  This synagogue has a prophecy that is told about it.  It has been destroyed two times previously, the last time being in 1948 when Israel became a nation, and it was ransacked by the Jordanians.  It has sat in ruins until a few years ago when the Jews began to rebuild.  The prophecy that went along with it said that when this synagogue would be rebuilt for the third time, the building of the Third Temple would begin! Because of this, there were riots in the Arab section of Jerusalem and much unrest.  As we were leaving Bethlehem, the night of the dedication of the synagogue, there was a dramatic, sudden shift in the atmosphere.  We had left for Bethlehem in hot, sticky 30 degree weather, and as we were leaving around sunset to go back to Jerusalem, the temperature suddenly dropped at least 15 degrees, the wind began to blow furiously, mixed with a huge sandstorm and spitting rain.  It was blowing so hard we were hesitant to leave our shelter to run to the bus! From that time forward, the weather was cool.  The previous week was almost unbearably hot. 

I have spoken to others who were in the Land around the same time as us, and the one conclusion that we all seem to reach is that there is a huge shift in the atmosphere right now.  It is time to pay attention to the signs, and watch for what God is saying in this pivotal time.  It is time to wash our garments and make ourselves ready.

Important Reminder about Passover:

We have also felt that the Feasts of the Lord are extremely significant this year.  To this end, we are celebrating Passover at the Tent on Good Friday, April 2 at 3 pm. with a sense that God is about to doing something highly significant at Passover.  It is time for a release of the Power of the Regenerating Blood of Jesus over our land!  If you are near Ottawa and can make it, come and join us.  I feel a bubbling up of something very powerful about to occur at Passover.

I am inserting a piece of our prophetic word that came forth out of the Tent of David on New Year’s eve.  Part of the word that is listed below talked about the beginning of the year being all about water followed by the water being turned into wine.  A gushing forth of the wine of the Holy Spirit over His bride!  I have included it below.  I do remember that as I wrote the report there was a sense of urgency to get it done because things were going to happen pretty quickly and at an accelerated pace. 

This is what the Lord was telling us a couple of weeks ago:

There is a sense as I am writing this report on the word for 2010 that came out of the Tent of David on New Year’s eve that if it is not written very soon, events will overtake us and this will not seem like a prophetic word at all. There is an excitement welling up even as I write this now, that says, “Get ready!  The time is now!”

The beginning of the year will be a time of water, followed by an outpouring of wine. The first thing that has been impressed on us has been Isaac’s well, Rehoboth, in Genesis 26. We have been striving for wells of water to be established, but God is saying we are coming into a place of rest. The name Rehoboth means “the Lord has made room for us and we shall be fruitful in the land”. The beginning of the year will be a time of rest, expansion and fruitfulness! There will be less work and more absorption into the Glory Realm. Following this season, which we sense will be fairly short and accelerated, there will be a time when the water is turned into wine.

Then, this week, the reports that have been coming out of Israel are all about the floods caused by rain that they have not seen in 40 years!  We have seen pictures of buses submerged as waters covered roads and washed out bridges.  See the link below that shows some of the magnitude of the water that is flooding Israel right now!

Friends, these are all signs that the flood of God’s Spirit is coming on the earth in a manner that we have not seen in many generations!  And, just think about all that water turning into wine!

I conclude this with our final exhortation in our word this year:

The overwhelming sense for this year was that in the midst of all that will be taking place around us, we will be in a place of unsurpassing joy in the House of Wine. God truly is preparing a place for us in the presence of our enemies. Get ready, buckle up your seatbelts. We are in for a ride! The mountains are going to drop sweet wine.

ANNOUCEMENT BY GATHERING NATIONS INTERNATIONAL 

Background On June 11, 2008, Prime Minister Stephen Harper extended an apology on behalf of Canada and specifically asked for forgiveness of the First Nations, Inuit and Métis people for historic wrongs, more specifically, for the abuses many aboriginal people experienced in residential schools in Canada. In recent years, the Government of Canada, the churches in Canada, First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples, and the people of Canada have made significant inroads and progress towards achieving a meaningful reconciliation throughout Canada. In particular, the vision of Elijah Harper in Sacred Assemblies of 1995 and 1997, the Government of Canada’s Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples, the Aboriginal Healing Foundation, the Apology of our Prime Minister, and now, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission will no doubt achieve much needed progress in restoring honour and healing in First Peoples, and for our nation.

Responding to the Apology: National ‘Forgiven’ Summit  To date, a response to Prime Minister Harper’s apology and specific request for forgiveness has not been coordinated. However, the First Peoples of Canada, an evolving coalition of Christian First Nations, Inuit and Métis believers, under the guiding principles of The Covenant of the First Peoples of Canada, and under the coordination and leadership of Gathering Nations International, and in unity with the greater Christian community in Canada, wish to take their place in a national public response to the June 2008 apology and to the specific request for forgiveness by our Prime Minister.

From June 11-13, 2010, representatives and leaders from Canada’s First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities, the churches of the ten provinces and three territories, international observers and media will
gather at the Ottawa Civic Centre to formally and publicly extend forgiveness to the Government of Canada at a national ‘Forgiven’ Summit. This three-day summit will involve approximately 3,500 - 5,000 people and will broadly follow three themes: gathering and witnessing unity of purpose, forgiveness protocols, and the celebration of freedom that forgiveness imparts.

This initiative differs from earlier attempts to forge reconciliation in that, while not neglecting the advances of previous investments in healing and reconciliation, this summit focuses on empowering the “grassroots” by teaching biblical principles of forgiveness within the indigenous culture one family at a time, from coast to coast to coast.

Journey of Freedom & Charter of Forgiveness  Forgiveness is not a typical item on a political or legislative agenda – it is spiritual. Just as wrong doing can and does affect the future of individuals, families, communities, and even nations; so can right-doing. Expressing sincere forgiveness founded on the unconditional love, grace and mercy of Father and Creator God, is key to unlocking greater doors to healing, and to a strong and prosperous future that is right for all people in Canada. A national expression of forgiveness will be a timely momentous progressive move towards a means to breaking a yoke of a negative past. Forgiveness will bring freedom from a spiritual poverty over First Peoples and our nation. Forgiveness will breathe new life to our common desire for an improved vision of a shared future of a blessed nation.

In preparation for this national spiritual response, Gathering Nations International will send aboriginal delegates to aboriginal communities, churches, and regional centres throughout Canada to make ready the
hearts of the people to release forgiveness. This Journey of Freedom will enhance, promote and prompt the Prime Minister’s efforts to restore honour and achieve a united, progressive and prosperous Canada.

At the culmination of the Journey of Freedom, in spring of 2010, aboriginal leaders will gather and, building on the principles of The Covenant of the First Peoples of Canada, will form a Charter of Forgiveness that will be formally presented and received by the Government of Canada.

Conclusion Canada is known as a peacemaker and a nation of integrity. In this same spirit, we stand with all First Nations, Inuit and Métis people and nations, provincial, territorial governments of Canada, the Government of Canada, and with the Prime Minister of Canada in a common vision to strengthen the moral integrity and spiritual foundations of our nation.

The release of forgiveness will not only be a major landmark in the journey of Canada towards our destiny to bring healing to the nations, but it will be a new beginning in covenant relationships within the family of God for kingdom authority purpose for our nation; and Canada will be a blessed nation under God even more!

• Write to your Member of Parliament, Premier, Chief & Council, encourage and invite him/her to be part of this national initiative.

Behold the days are coming, says the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows the seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine and all the hills shall melt [that is, everything heretofore barren and unfruitful shall overflow with spiritual blessing]. There is an excitement welling up even as I write this now, that says, “Get ready!  The time is now!”

This is the year of the Ancient of Days who will reveal secrets to those who wait for Him.

Two years ago, we were given ancient keys to unlock doors; last year, we prophesied that an ancient gate was going to open up. Following this, we have taken ancient keys that we got in Israel around the world to prophetically open up gates in the Spirit. Then nearing the end of this past year, we heard about the ancient Eastern gate in Israel where Israel crossed over and where Elisha got Elijah’s mantle is being opened to the public by the government of Israel. Watch for ancient gates all over the world now begin to open up! Then this year, as we began our worship time on New Year’s eve, we began to sing Steve Swanson’s song about the Ancient of Days who has a river of fire flowing before Him. As we sang that, there was something happened in the atmosphere. The Ancient of Days showed up! Read everything you can about the Ancient of Days in scripture. He is about to manifest ancient anointings and reveal secrets that we have not seen until now.

This is the year of unprecedented revelation.

We are entering into a year of sight. The seers will see with new clarity, unhindered. Through dreams, visions and by the Spirit, keys will be given to enable overcomers to tear down systems of thought and established mindsets contrary to the character and plan of God. This will cause an increase in the intensity of God’s presence in our midst. Music will play a prominent part in releasing new truths about the covenant of God with His people. New realms of music will be entered into where ancient sounds will bring forth a transformation in the earth.

It is the year of the ‘bountiful eye’.

The bountiful eye is an eye that sees the provision of God through the cross and His resurrection life. The bountiful eye is full of light. The bountiful eye is one that has been drinking from the wells of salvation. The bountiful eye is one of intimacy with God. It is one who goes up higher and is infused with fresh oil from the throne. It releases bounty. Let your hand be a hand of blessing. Give your way out of debt. Those who sow bountifully shall also reap bountifully. See your bounty come forth!

A couple of days before our New Year’s eve service, we were sent two dreams that one of our friends had about Dan. In the first dream our friend was pouring Dan a glass of wine that had a stopper on it that would only allow about 1 oz to pour out. As he poured it into his glass, the stopper fell off and the wine surged into the glass and overflowed it. In the second dream the wine bottle had a particular stopper on it that only allowed the wine to be poured out slowly. He asked Dan to pour his own this time and when he did, the wine poured into the glass like a hose with unstoppable force, filling it and spraying wine all around! Friends, we are coming into unprecedented days of an overflow of wine.

This year the pure, spotless bride is coming to the banqueting table in the House of Wine.

God is transforming His bride this year, causing her filthy rags to be discarded and new white garments to be displayed. This will not simply be an outward thing, but the very substance of who we are is being changed to become the very nature of the bridegroom. God is positioning His bride to “be all that we can be”.

There has been much come to us about the bride coming to the banqueting table. Last year, we purchased oil for our lamps to get ready for the bridegroom. This year the bride is coming to the House of Wine. Song of Songs 2:4 says “He brought me to His banqueting table and His (bridal) banner over me is love”. The meaning for banqueting table here is House of Wine. The bridegroom is bringing the bride to the House of Wine! And here the wine is being poured out according to the Kings liberality! When Steve Swanson was here this fall, he began to prophesy in song about God setting a table before us in the presence of our enemies. This year we surely will have enemies come against us, but we will be in the House of Wine! New wine is associated with abundance and harvest.

This will be a year for pouring in the oil and wine.

Last year we bought oil and Steve Swanson saw waves and waves of oil pouring into the Tent. This year, we will mix it with the liberality of wine to bind up the wounded ones. There is coming a wave of the wounded to the House of Wine. Let the wine flow in abundance and the wounded will return unto the Lord. The week before we had our New Year’s watch, the scripture, Hosea 6 became real to us. “Come let us return unto the Lord, for He has torn us, but He will heal us. He has wounded us, but He will bandage us”. The wounded and broken are coming. Make a way for them in the House of Wine!

This will be the year of the Overcomer.

Jesus is the chief overcomer. He is the Lord over all lords, King over all kings, and those with Him will be called, chosen, faithful. To those who press in to animate the spirit of the overcomer, the root cause of your hindrances will be revealed by the Spirit of Truth. This will be a year that will demand increased yielding to the Spirit of God. To those who yield more, we will come to the place where the Spirit of God has us. It will be out of that place that our cries will move the hand of God.

There are crowns that the Lord wants to bestow upon His children that are supernatural: crowns of righteousness, crowns of glory and life.

In 2010, the Spirit of the fear of the Lord will take on new meaning.

God will bring back an overwhelming awe in His people. It is the time of Hakkadosh: the realm of the holy is entirely set apart from the common, the habitual or the profane. The Holy is singular, awe-inspiring, even “terrible”. We will come to be freely infused with deeper levels of humility and the fear of the Lord.

The overwhelming sense for this year was that in the midst of all that will be taking place around us, we will be in a place of unsurpassing joy in the House of Wine. God truly is preparing a place for us in the presence of our enemies. Get ready, buckle up your seatbelts. We are in for a ride! The mountains are going to drop sweet wine.

When Moses finished speaking to them he put a veil over his face.  But whenever he entered the Lord’s presence to speak with Him, he removed the veil until he came out.  And when he came out and told the Israelites what  he had been commanded, they saw that his face was radiant.    Exodus 34: 33-35

In that day, I will restore David’s fallen tent.  I will repair its broken places, restore its ruins and build it as it used to be.  Amos 9: 11

This is what the Lord Almighty says:  “In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.  I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come and I will fill this house with glory…The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house…and in this place I will grant peace”.  Haggai 2: 6-9

When we embarked down this wild journey, following God, it was against what the mainstream thoughts of what “church” was supposed to be.  How can a bunch of people just get together every week and just worship.  Where’s the fruit?  What can that possibly accomplish?  Over these last three years or more, we have consistently had to resist doing “things” to make our assembling together more compatible with the expected.  God confirmed over and over again that He wanted us to provide a place where He could just come and rest, and that we were to strive to enter into His rest.  That is not an easy thing to do.  The verse that is posted at the front of the Tent is Amos 9:11.  Somehow, God has placed high value in David’s simple worship tent.  His Glory is something to be sought after.  The knowledge of His Glory is the thing that is going to cover the earth in the last days.

But, the question about the fruit is a legitimate one.  If God places such value in simply worshipping Him that He has determined that His glory would be the defining factor in the last days, why would He do this?  How will the lost come in?  How will we minister to the poor and do the works of the kingdom?  I believe the Lord has been slowly revealing to us why we had to lay down a lot of what we knew to do.  Many of us had become very good at doing.  Yet the heart of God is that He wants us to draw aside, like Moses, until the Glory infuses us, until we become carriers of Glory. 

This past week I began to see the fruit.  I attended a women’s dinner where two of our “glory carriers” were asked to minister in song and in the word.  The word that was spoken was like an arrow into the hearts and the worship was heavenly.  I just wept as I witnessed first hand the fruit of those weeks and months of spending time, looking at God.  I have seen our teachers go into their classrooms and teach the children how to prophesy and see in the Spirit.  They have also risen up in authority to decree things over the school that shakes the gates of the enemy.  I watched a video of Dan ministering in China without notes and just pouring out the knowledge of the glory that has become part of him.  I have seen invitation after invitation come to our group to minister here and there.  The wonderful thing is that it is everyone that is carrying this thing out beyond the Tent walls.  The knowledge of the Glory.   There is something about the Glory that is compelling, that is the yearning for more that people can’t often define.  Yet when they meet a Glory carrier, they feel unexplainably attracted to them.  Steve Swanson wrote a song that says “In the Glory Realm, anything is possible”.  What happened that we made everything so hard?  God is once again wooing His church.  Come aside and stay awhile.  I’ve missed you.  Let me fill your “house” with Glory once again and let Me be the Glory of the Church!

Have you ever been in a meeting where you knew something significant had happened, but you were not sure what?  Such a thing happened at the Tent of David a couple of Sundays ago.  We were in deep worship when suddenly someone began to be obviously overcome by the Spirit.  There was an explosion of the prophetic realm that day that came out of our entering into new realms of Glory.  When she was able to pull herself together enough to share, she was holding out her hands saying “mantles of praise”.  >From there she encouraged us to come and take the mantle that was being offered by the Spirit.  Obediently, we all stepped forward to take this mantle into our own hands.  The meeting reluctantly ended a little while after that, but the sense that something had happened in the Spirit remained with us during the week.  Then, as so often happens, if we are persistent enough, the Holy Spirit sends another confirmation from another source to bring a little clarity as to what had been accomplished.  The following Sunday morning, a prophetic article appeared on the Elijah list before we left for the Tent.  A portion of this said:

At one point I saw in the Spirit a radical angel over the top of the crowd. He was not a warrior, he was a praiser armed with the instruments of praise all around him. He was in full color of the Heavens; he was, in fact, dressed in colors yet to be released in the earth. "They will be released," says the Lord.

I then recalled when I had seen in the past a garrison of angelic beings which had entered a meeting and surrounded the room. These angels were warriors of the nations dressed in their attire of origin. I then saw they all had notebooks; they were actually taking down dictation of the words being said, and they took them back to their nations to release what was being said in that meeting. During this current meeting, I saw the same thing start to happen.

This article continued to describe how that God was releasing radical praise in the earth, in places where people were desperate and hungry.  I immediately called the friend who had had the experience at the Tent and when she read it, she said that this was EXACTLY the experience that she had the Sunday before, but didn’t know how to put it into words.

The following Sunday, we revisited this experience.  It is so important that when we have significant visitations from God that we do not simply mark it down and move on.  God is doing something unique right now and we want to acknowledge what He wants to establish for this time.  So, based on this word, we entered into worship.  Then, it was if the Lord stepped it up a notch and took us into VIOLENT Praise.  We believe that the Spirit is saying that now is the time for the Kingdom of Heaven to suffer violence.  Release your violent praise! 

As we were doing this, I was reminded of the first meeting that we had with Steve Swanson.  We called it “The Sound that Shakes the Ground”.  Last Sunday, the ground under the Eastern Gate of Ottawa shook!  We released our praise into the earth and felt it reverberate into the nations! Angels with notebooks were taking dictation and releasing it on assignment in the earth.  Then, today we read about something amazing that has happened in Israel.  The title of the article is Ancient Eastern Gateway is Open!  The article describes how the place at the Jordan River where Joshua crossed over that had been barricaded and guarded by Israeli soldiers will open in January 2010. I believe that what happens in Israel is a prophetic sign to the world.  It is significant to me that we entered into violent praise at our Eastern Gate only to have this announced a few days later. 

Then, just yesterday, I was reminded of our prophetic word that was given to us for 2009 at the Tent last New Years eve.  The very first thing that we perceived that night was this:  An ancient gate is now opening!  We went on to say that ancient keys were going to be given to open ancient gates.  We felt that the key we were to use this year, was a small old key that we got inside old Jerusalem when we were in Israel.  Suddenly one of the members of the Tent came up and asked us to open the gift she had brought for us.  The gift was a book entitled “Little keys that open big doors”!! 

The amazing thing about this key, was that when Godfrey Birtill was here in April, I felt compelled to give him that key from the Tent of David.  Godfrey is one of the most “Eastern gate” people that we know.  He breaks open things in the heavenlies and he visits all kinds of nations in the earth.  Ancient keys for ancient gates. 

Lord, open up the gates! Let the King of Glory take His place at every Eastern Gate in every nation!  Your Kingdom come and be established in the earth!  Let our violent praise spring forth, let it shake the ground and open ancient doors.

I love Rosh Hashana and the Feast of Tabernacles season.  It is the season of fresh revelation and unbridled worship.  It’s not surprising that we can expect revelation when we enter into abandoned worship.  We go to the Throne and in the Throne room God speaks and shows us His heart.  Who wouldn’t want to go there?  We also love it when Steve Swanson comes.  He is us and we are him.  Together we mounted up on wings as eagles and let the Spirit wind take us this past weekend.  It is impossible to describe but those who were there know what I mean.  There is a place in worship where you leave the bonds of earth and soar.  It was one of those times. 

There has been a sense that this Rosh Hashana has had special significance for Canada.  We started out on September 18 with over 200 other groups across the nation showing the ActsNewsNetwork documentary film, "From the River to the Ends of the Earth", a chronicle of the revivals in Canada’s past and some of the major prophetic words that have declared that this is Canada’s time for a wave of revival that is 100 times greater than all other revivals put together. 

This past Friday night on the Feast of Tabernacles, Steve began to see wave after wave of oil coming from the north. He wasn’t sure if it was the far north or simply from a northern direction such as how Canada is situated in North America.  It was just wave upon wave of oil as he led us in worship.   Then he began to prophesy in song:

Wells of Revival are open, springing up

Seeds just need a little water

It’s you, water the seeds of revival

Praise like rain ascending

The sky is filling up with rain

Discoveries in the land, signs for the season

Turn your eyes to the north, what’s happening in the ground?

Opening up the heavens, opening up the earth

Oil, Oil, OIl

You will know that my anointing is increasing

As it is in the natural, so in the supernatural

Resources from heaven, sign to my people of the north

Crying out in the night in the tabernacle

Oil and riches, discoveries

As the weekend progressed, it became clear that God was indeed highlighting oil.   The Saturday night was an incredible journey with God.  It began with Sheila Cornelis dancing her "Dance for Canada".  We then launched into high Glory in worship.  In the middle of the worship, there was a prophetic word that came forth about this being the Elijah season where a new prophetic anointing was being released over the land.  I immediately thought of my oil that I got from Mount Carmel when I was in Israel this Passover.  This oil has been getting greener and greener over the past few months.  It is now a bright green colour. We decided that this would be the night to anoint everyone with the green Elijah oil.  Following worship, Steve took some time to share about his journey with God revealing the sounds of creation and the heavens to him.  It was an incredible time and opened up the stage for anointing the people with the oil for release into prophetic seeing and hearing. Holy chaos!  An amazing, amazing time.

It was only when I got home that I realized that a lot of what happened this weekend had already been prophesied at the Tent at our New Years Eve Prophetic watch.  On that night we prophesied that 2009 was going to be a year of fresh oil that is a mixture of many previous revivals.  And, on last Rosh Hashana, I had felt to give everyone a vial of oil with different oils from Wales mixed together.    This year, at New Years, I had come with gold coins to give to everyone to buy oil.  We all bought oil on New Years and Steve saw wave after wave of oil coming down from the north.

We also began to declare that the colours for the year would be blue, green and yellow.  Blue is the colour of revelation which is the season we are in.  This is the rest of what we said on New Years:

Other colours that were given were green and yellow.  The next day we were watching the Starting the Year Off Right Conference with Chuck Pierce and one of the speakers proclaimed that the only thing that God told him was that the colour for the year was Green!  Chuck then said, "The river is Green!"  When we thought about that, a blue river mixed with yellow oil becomes green!   It’s a river of OIL!!  Green oil. 

There is a prophetic wave of oil that is coming to Canada.  It is fresh and it is new.  Watch for oil discoveries in the land.  We are marked for oil.  A few years ago a prophet from South America asked to be taken to the farthest place in the north that we could go in Canada.  He got out of the plane and read Psalm 133 "How good and pleasant it is when brethren dwell together in unity.  It is like the precious oil poured on the head, .. running down on Aaron’s beard, down upon the collar of his robes…."  After reading this, he got in the plane and flew home to South America. There was a sense that the oil was coming from the north, down through Canada, through the US to South America.  Oil.  Canada, it’s in your DNA.   The things revealed belong to you.

This is the month of Elul in the Biblical calendar and it is the season when "The King is in the Field".  According to Hebrew tradition, for eleven months of the year the King is in his palace on the throne, unreachable unless by special permission.  But during the month of Elul, the King goes out into the field.  He sets up a tent and He is near to those who seek Him.  It is the month of favour for those who call upon Him when He is near. 

We have noticed that since we have begun to agree with this in the month, that God begins to direct our desires towards His desires.  I am not sure if our establishment of a regular corporate Tuesday fast has triggered something also in the Spirit, but the last few weeks have been increasing in Presence and Glory in our midst.  This morning was such a morning.  We began to release the Hebrew letter, Hei over people and the nation.  The letter Hei in Hebrew invokes the creative power of God.  Just last week someone gave us a CD of Annie Helmer’s called "Transported by the Lion of Judah".  She is a quiet unassuming British woman who, during a season of being in hospital alone from family and friends began to have visitations by the Lion of Judah.  One of the first things that she began to see in the Spirit was all these spirals in the air whenever the Lion would breathe or speak in her visions.  As she looked, she began to realize that it was spirals of DNA that was breathed out by the Lion.  She noticed that there were very many of these in the air especially when people were in united worship together.  The Lord gave her a revelation that every time He speaks or breathes, there is creative power that is released. 

One of the things that Dan has been studying in preparation for his trip to China is Revelation 4.  He noticed that the first thing that Jesus revealed to John after he was invited to "Come up here and I will show you things that will come to pass", was a vision of the Father.  The attribute of God that is highlighted in Heaven is that He is Creator.  There is something about understanding that whenever God breathes or speaks in a meeting that His creative power is invoked.  That is why worship is so important.  When we worship, He draws near.  He breathes on us and creative power is released.  We just have to know that it is there.  Many of the people in Annie’s visions were not aware of the creative power that had been released in the atmosphere as they were worshipping. 

So this morning, we began to release the Hei of God.  A couple of weeks ago, one of the members of the Tent had given us a gift of her first painting.  Incredibly, it was the picture of a huge lion with his mouth open, roaring.  Out of his mouth came this huge cloud of something.  We realized today that this was the Hei being released.  Someone else said that she was compelled this morning to begin to write down all the names of everyone she knew because it would be very important.  We all then began to write names of people we knew and placed them in a box during worship and declared the Hei of God over them.  We placed this box beside the picture of the Lion and began to declare the breath coming into the bones that were dead.  We then placed the flag of the nation of Canada in the box and began to declare Hei over our nation. 

The King was in the Field and He was making His desires our desires.  There is such a strong sense that this is an appointed time for Canada, that creator God is birthing something new in our land.  It is no mistake that on September 18, Rosh Hashanah, the beginning of the new year in the Hebrew Calendar, we are participating with over 140 groups across the nation in the release of the documentary film, "From the River to the Ends of the Earth".  The interesting thing about this film is that it declares in the trailer that "Revival, Canada it is in your DNA".  God’s creative power is being released over this land!  He is birthing something new that has never been seen before. 

Release Hei over your situation, your loved ones, your nation.  And come and join us on September 18 at 7:30 pm. when we show the fabulously moving documentary film, From the River to the Ends of the Earth.  Following this, we will be corporately agreeing with many across the nation for the revival which has been prophesied to be 100 times greater than any of the other revivals in Canada put together.  Together we will see the appointed time for this nation as corporately we release the creative power of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.  Canada, it’s in your DNA!

Also, don’t forget to mark on your calendar October 2 and 3 when Steve Swanson will be with us at the Tent.  We have called this weekend "Glory Invasion".  Come and be invaded by Glory!

When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the Glory of the Lord filled the temple.  The priests could not enter the temple of the Lord because the Glory of the Lord filled it.  When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the Lord above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshipped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying "He is good; His love endures forever".

For a long time now I have been meditating and pondering on the question of why the Glory of the Lord filled the temple that Solomon built, yet we do not read of such a phenomenon at the tabernacle of David.  What was it that caused the Glory to descend so powerfully, that the priests could not stand to minister?  David had done all to honour and please God.  He was the man after God’s own heart, so much so that God ordained that the Messiah would come from his lineage.  David, more than Solomon knew the heart of God.  David, more than Solomon had a relationship with God that we can only imagine from afar.  David was the one who was given the design of the house of God.  David was the one who gave all of his treasure into the building of the temple so that God could have a resting place amongst His people.  And, David, with a heart of humility and overwhelming love for His God, accepted God’s verdict that He could only prepare for the house, but could not build it.  Yet he still gave all that He had to prepare for his son to accomplish what He so longed to do.  What a heart!  In the end, he knew that this was not about him, it was about God.

This morning at the Tent, we had such a presence of God come into our midst as we began to think about that moment when the Glory descended on the Temple.  We realized that at that moment of dedication, the priests had to make way for the King.  It was the King who took his place to declare a resting place for God.  It was the King who ministered before the people.  Then, as we lay prostrate before the King singing "Holy, holy, in the presence of angels", Renee felt to come with an offering before the King.  We all humbly and with great reverence brought our offering as David did in that early temple declaring that all we have, is all we had to give.  There was such an awe of God that no one wanted to move.

Where are we in God’s timetable?  I believe that David’s tabernacle is the place of preparing the way for the King.  We come with our treasure, our time, our devotion, our worship and we lay the foundation for the King to come and make His abode amongst His people.  It is only when the King comes and takes the place of the priests who faithfully stand and minister, that the Glory will descend and fill the House.  David’s tabernacle is only the preparation for the time when the King comes to make his abode in a people and in a nation. 

The last night when the Watchmen were here in Ottawa with the stones of remembrance, they gave us all a very significant gift.  It was a ring with the words enscribed on it "One King’.  When Canada comes under the rulership of One King, the Glory will descend.  When the King takes His place, everyone else will fall.  It has never been about us.  It has always been about Him.  When we really get that, God will come.

Please make note in your calendars that on October 2 and 3 we will be privileged to have Steve Swanson at the Tent once again.  Steve comes at the beginning of the Feast of Tabernacles, and there is a sense that this time is going to be especially incredible.  We are calling this gathering "The Glory Realm".  Do not miss this weekend with Steve!
